You've done the reading. You know your anxiety has something to do with how you grew up. But knowing that hasn't made it stop.
You might recognize yourself here:
-
You're on edge, even when things are going fine, like you're waiting for something to go wrong.
-
You get tired from carrying everyone else's feelings and needs.
-
You want closeness, but when someone gets too close you start to pull away, and you're not sure why.
-
You're hard on yourself in ways that you wouldn't be hard on others.
-
You keep ending up in the same relationship patterns, even though you can see them happening.
What you experienced growing up shaped how your nervous system learned to keep you safe. Those patterns made sense then. They're just getting in the way now.

Specialties
Explore our therapy specialties tailored to promote growth, calm, and happiness. Each specialty is designed to support you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery.
Dysfunctional Family Recovery
Therapy for adults who grew up with emotionally immature, neglectful, or unpredictable parents.
Growing up in a chaotic, critical, or emotionally neglectful home leaves lasting marks, on how you see yourself, how you respond to conflict, and how safe you feel in relationships.

Together we identify the patterns that you learned to survive, and replace them with skills that actually work for you now.

Childhood Emotional Neglect
Therapy for adults whose emotional needs were consistently ignored or minimized in childhood, leaving them feeling invisible, empty, or numb.
Emotional neglect is hard to name because nothing dramatic happened, your parents just weren't there emotionally. But the effects are real: difficulty identifying your own feelings, a sense that your needs don't matter, and a persistent feeling of emptiness.

Therapy helps you recognize and meet your emotional needs, many for the first time as an adult.
Attachment & Relationship Struggles
Therapy for adults with anxious, avoidant, or disorganized attachment styles who want to build healthier, more secure relationships.
Your earliest relationships taught your nervous system what closeness feels like, and whether it's safe. If those relationships are unpredictable, critical, or cold, you may have developed patterns like people pleasing, emotional walls, or cycles of clinging and withdrawing.

Attachment-focused therapy helps you understand where those patterns came from and build new ones that allow for real closeness.

You don't have to keep feeling like you're too much, not enough, or stuck in the same cycles.
I can help you feel safe in your body, your relationships, and in yourself.
How Therapy Works
Book a Free 15-Minute Consult
We spend 15 minutes on the phone or video together. You will tell me what's going on, I answer your questions, and we decide if working together makes sense. There's no pressure and no commitment. If it's not the right fit, I'll do my best to point you in a helpful direction.

Start Weekly Sessions
We meet weekly via secure video from wherever you are in Nevada. In the first few sessions, we build a picture of the specific patterns, triggers, and experiences, that brought you here. Then we get to work, using EMDR and attachment-focused therapy to process old wounds and to build new, healthier responses.

Feel the Difference
Over time you'll notice things that used to hijack you start to have less power. You'll feel safer in your body. Relationships will feel less threatening and more rewarding. You'll trust yourself more. Clients often describe it as finally feeling like themselves, maybe for the first time in life.
